• Plan and run phased migrations of virtual machines from VMware to AWS, keeping production impact low.

Web & API Modernization on AWS

• Migrate existing web apps (for example, Angular) to AWS using CloudFront, Application Load Balancer, API Gateway, EKS, and RDS.
• Handle domain migration to AWS, Route 53 DNS configuration, and certificate setup for secure, low-friction cutovers.
• Secure and tune the stack so APIs and frontends keep working transparently for end users.

Security, Patching & Operations (Optional)

• Plan and execute CVE remediation and OS patching programs for AIX, VIOS, and Linux fleets.
• Automate routine operations with Ansible and scripting to reduce manual effort and risk.

Project Experience

Infrastructure Refresh & VMware Migration – 2025

Production environment · ~100 VMs · 2 hosts · 60 TB storage · ≈ USD 30K hardware

• Designed and delivered a new VMware infrastructure for ~100 virtual machines across 2 hosts and 60 TB of storage, including vendor selection, hardware sizing, pricing, and purchasing.
• Coordinated datacenter work (rack, cabling, power, network) and prepared the platform for production workloads.
• Planned and executed the migration from the legacy VMware environment to the new platform, focusing on stability, performance, and risk reduction.

VMware to AWS Migration & Hybrid Connectivity – 2024

• Designed and built AWS infrastructure to replace on-prem VMware workloads, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and routing.
• Configured hybrid connectivity between the datacenter and AWS using a Mikrotik router (VPN, routes, firewall rules, ACLs) for secure access from local infrastructure to AWS instances.
• Planned and executed the migration of virtual machines from VMware to AWS with minimal downtime.

Modernizing 2 Angular Applications on AWS – 2024 (early‑stage startup, currently on hold)

• Worked with a colleague to migrate two Angular websites from traditional hosting to a modern AWS architecture using CloudFront, Application Load Balancer, API Gateway, EKS, and RDS.
• Migrated domains from Namecheap to AWS, configured Route 53 DNS, and set up SSL certificates to secure all traffic and allow APIs to be consumed transparently.
• Hardened the application stack by tightening security groups, load balancer listeners, and API Gateway access while maintaining availability and performance.

Long‑term Hybrid Cloud & Linux Operations – US Software Vendor (since 2014)
